Miguel Ángel Rodríguez shone in the National Games 2023. Armenia - Quindio, Colombia

Squash player Miguel Ángel Rodríguez added to his list of achievements during the recent edition of the National Games 2023. The Eje Cafetero 2023 National Games are still ongoing, and in the latest session of this sporting event, several medals were awarded. In the discipline of squash, it was Miguel Ángel Rodríguez who stood out in the final competitions.


At the Coliseum of the University of Quindio, Rodríguez once again showcased his brilliance, winning two medals and expanding his remarkable track record in this sporting event in which he has been participating since 2004. In a message shared on his official Instagram account, the 37-year-old veteran player stated, "We have all been winners in these national games. Regardless of each player's region, I can affirm that we have and will continue to have one of the best generations of Colombian squash in our entire continent. Congratulations to each member of their leagues for all the effort and results. See you in 2027."


In summary, squash yielded positive results for the Bogotá delegation, as its athletes secured four gold medals (two of them earned by Miguel Ángel Rodríguez). Meanwhile, the department of Antioquia secured two gold medals thanks to the efforts of María Clara Ramírez, while Cundinamarca, Valle, and Bolívar also made it to the podium in their respective squash tournaments at the Eje Cafetero 2023 National Games.
