Miguel Angel Rodriguez

Miguel started to play when he was 4 years old and played his first junior event at 8 years old and won it! When he turned 10 he played his first international junior event ‘Canadian Junior Open’ and he claimed the title boys under 12 age. So, he kept playing junior events internationally, national and was the best kid in the Panamerican Area. 

His dad was national champion for 11 years in Colombia who helped miguel raise in the squash world. He became #1 in Colombia at 18 years old and since then he has been the best Squash Player in Colombia. At the age of 17-18 years old miguel won again the Canadian Junior Open twice both and years and the Us Junior Open followed by the Canadian one. Then, he finished is junior career when he turned 19 years old and joined the PSA tour ‘Professional Squash Association’. 

In April 2005 at 19 years old he played his first PSA event, miguel’s ranking was 300 at the beginning of his pro career and he came from qualifier spot to be the runner up of the event in Quebec Canada. Same year, November he wins his first PSA tournament 10k category in Argentina, raising his world ranking to top 73.
